Matt Johnson – Extra Innings Instructor
Matt played baseball at Bridgewater College, Virginia. Matt accomplished the following while playing four years at Bridgewater: Old Dominion Athletic Conference Hitter of the week
2006 NCAA Regional Appearance, and a .328 career hitter
Prior to his college career, Matt played his high school baseball at North Hagerstown High School where he accomplished the following:
Selection to the 2001 First Team Outfield for the Monocacy Valley Athletic League
First Team Outfield in the All-County voting and the “Herald Mail Newspaper’s, 2001 Player of the Year”
Holds the Maryland State Baseball Record for having six hits in a playoff game
Outfield starter for Funkstown Post #211 during 2000-2002 when the team won three Western Maryland District Titles and advanced to the Maryland State Tournament
Matt, the General Manager of Extra Innings-Hagerstown, will be the lead hitting instructor and will conduct baseball clinics. |

Fred Kreiger – Extra Innings Instructor
Fred was drafted and signed by the Chicago Cubs in 1972. A synopsis of Fred’s baseball experience follows:
Pitching Coach at Frostburg State University-1974-1978
While being the Head Coach at the Boonsboro High School from 1988-2003, the team accomplished the following: MVAC Champs 1988-89, 1998-99, 2002;Regional Champs 1988, 1994-95, 2002; State Finalist 1989 and State Champion 2002
Assistant Coach at North Hagerstown High School-2003-2006
Lead pitching instructor at Cal Ripken Baseball School 1988-98

Fred has received the following awards:

Andy Grosh – Extra Innings Instructor
Andy Played baseball at Greencastle-Antrim High School where he was selected to the 1986 All Area Baseball Team. Andy went on to play at Lock Haven University Some of Andy’s accomplishments include:
Played for Franklin County Adult League: Marion Monarchs and Greencastle Athletics
Selected to the 1987 All East Game Pennsylvania American Legion All Stars
1990 Franklin County Adult League All Star
Played at the 1993 All American Law Enforcement Team Softball, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and was the 1995 All World Softball MVP, USSSA World Softball Tournament.

Todd Webster – Extra Innings Instructor
Todd received the “Joe Weaver Award for Outstanding Player” while playing baseball for the Funkstown Legion. His other baseball career accomplishments include:
Playing baseball for West End Little League, Baltimore Pony League and the Baltimore Colt League
A member of the 1986 Maryland State Championship Baseball Team while a student at North Hagerstown High School
Assistant coach for the North Hagerstown High School Baseball Team for nine years

Rick Ricker – Extra Innings Instructor
Rick has played baseball and softball for more than 31 years. His career in baseball and softball includes:
A member of the 1979 West End Little League All-Star Team who won the State championship
Played baseball for the following Baltimore leagues, Pony,Colt, Funkstown Legion, North Baltimore High School, Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Braves
Coaches an elementary and middle school division fast pitch girl’s softball team
Coaches a U16 girl's fast pitch softball team the Maryland Belles.
Rick will be available for softball clinics and private softball instruction.

Danielle Kneller – Extra Innings Instructor
Danielle played softball at St. Bonaventure University (NCAA DI) for two years where she contributed to the University’s first no hitter. Prior to her college career, Danielle played high school softball for Troy Area High School, Troy, Pennsylvania where she accomplished the following:
Four year Varsity letter winner
2 time -Northern Tier League All–Star team
Several time “Subway” Athlete of the Week, chosen by “The Daily Review”
Senior Softball player of the Year – Troy Area High School.
Three perfect no hitters, and several no hitters.
Also, while in high school Danielle had played for several Little League teams, traveling teams and had been accepted to play on a U.S. Traveling Team. She has played in the following positions: pitcher, 2nd base and 3rd base. Danielle has also been a pitching instructor, assistant coach and umpire for the Troy Little League, Troy, Pennsylvania. She also was a softball pitching instructor Atlanta, Georgia.
Danielle will be the leading softball pitching instructor at Extra Innings-Hagerstown.

Janet Buckheit-Getz – Extra Innings Instructor
Highlights of Softball Experience:
- Played NCAA Division II College fast pitch softball placing 2nd and 3rd at the NCAA Division II National Championships in two consecutive years.
- Named 1st Team NCAA Division II All-American in 1991, batting .465 and leading the PSAC in hits and runs scored.
- Coached for 10+ years under Softball Hall of Fame Coach, Jan Hutchinson at week long summer camps and clinics.
- Conducted numerous camp sessions and possesses excellent instructional background in fast pitch catching, bunting, slapping, hitting, softball leads, base running and team strategy plays.
- Present Member and Member of the 2003 Pennsylvania Spirit Women’s Class “A” Fast Pitch State Championship Team.

Trey Cobb – Extra Innings Instructor
Collegiate Baseball Experience:
- Trey played two years at Hagerstown Community College serving as a captain his sophomore year. Trey played second base and shortstop while attending HCC.
- Trey played two years at Salisbury University serving as a senior captain. Trey while at SU played shortstop, second base, third base, and centerfield. During Trey’s junior year, the team set the school record for consecutive wins, as well as the most wins in a season. The SU Baseball Team during Trey’s senior year broke the record for the most wins in a season and was the conference champions, regional champions, and played in the Division III World Series.

- American Baseball Coaches Association - Trey has been a continuous member of the ABCA for the past three years.
